WESTEM: A GREATER FEMALE PRESENCE IN STEM DISCIPLINES

Having a greater presence of women in STEM disciplines and careers means reducing the gender gap, which still characterizes the Italian reality, and increasing social inclusiveness at the same time.
This is the goal the Erasmus+ WESTEM project is aiming for: S-NODI Social Enterprise shares this goal with momentum, is a partner in the project, and invites you to participate in the next webinar today, Thursday, May 11th, at 6 p.m. CET.

This will be the first in a series of webinars open to the public, and to be run by the different project partners.
Today we will talk about our work under the WESTEMproject: we wish to make our contribution so that more women not only pursue studies and careers in STEM, but also that they do so successfully. Supported by the project’s community and mentoring, we want women to choose study paths that optimize their skills in view of their career aspirations.
For these reasons, the centerpiece of the project will be the Discord Community Hub, open to those who aspire to be part of this community.

We will also talk about women who have made history in STEM disciplines, discovering their contributions through an interactive game.
Finally, we will discuss in detail the WESTEM mentoring program, and how it is possible to participate as a mentor or mentee.
